I called back the number (03) 8691 0595 and the person I spoke with said the company is Amplifon

They have called me a few times and when I answered I got the impression that it was a govt agency that provided free hearing tests. It's a company that gives free hearing tests and then you have to pay for the aids. So just another hearing aid company who bought a list pf phone numbers and is cold calling people.

This number hangs up every time I answer. Called back once and it was an automated voice from Aplifon about free hearing tests in my area. Blocked the number now.

The automated dialer rang my mobile and hung up. When I rang it back I spoke to a nice person who I warned this would not be a nice call but I would be gentle and told her that I wanted the supervisor to hear the call so they know what the system is doing to potential clients, since the calls were recorded for training purposes. After explaining the issue she asked me if "i was finished" yes, she used THAT tone. When I explained why I was calling and to please remove me from her call register she hung up. So here I am ..
