Just got a phone call/email from this number - very brisk and pushy. As the company he was trying to 'audit' doesn't trade anymore, makes you wonder about their legitamcy.

I just got a call from (03) 8669 1868, and had all the answers. You can still call this number and talk to them. I wonder if Microsoft needs to know about this.

I Called Microsoft support directly about this number and they confirmed that it is infact the Software Asset Management Compliance department. They also told me that it was up to me if I wanted to participate in the Audit.

If you get the persons full name and details, just call the MS support number and verify the details. They'll be happy to help you out.

Seems like this is a scam....beware....
Someone with strong accent says they are from Microsoft and want to do a software audit. Would not give details and sent email to our info address from website.

Would expect Microsoft to contact me in person as we are a Microsoft Partner.
