Caller: Brands of Choice - CCI This number just rang and I only answered it because I was expecting a call from a number I don't have in my phone. But, I've had consistent calls, several a day from various numbers, this is first 03. Surely there's a way that telecoms can restrict this fraudulent activity. Numbers so far have been: (03) 8658 8008 (02) 8599 0152 (02) 8015 6979 (02) 6100 5365 (02) 6188 5925 (02) 6181 1508

Caller: Online Competition Agent advised they were contacting me as I'd recently entered a competition to win a Land Rover. I advised I had not and they then asked if I had entered to win an iphone. I advised I had not and terminated the call.

Caller: No idea who they are! I have had all these numbers ring me...the last one , the 03 , said he is from telstra, he is going to cut off my internet because we don’t have the NBN yet...and that is my fault??? Ok..he then told me to turn on my computer and he could fix the issue I am having with my internet...I told him I don’t have a computer..all quiet..he hung up on me!

Caller: SCAM Receiving multiple scamming calls this week - similar numbers to previous comment:
Posted on February 18, 2019 Caller type: Unknown Location: Australia
I get calls daily from these six numbers seemingly coming from NSW and now VIC. They are all o/s calls generating fake Australian numbers and seems even Telstra and their Cyber Intelligence cannot stop them. They ask for a person who lives here and the phone is not even in his name. Also there is a 3 to5 sec delay and knowingly coming from o/s. THey won't tell you who they are, just their first name and hang up.

They keep ringing I never answer and they keep ringing and it does my head in. I then put my phone on silent forget I have it on silent and miss calls, important calls! It’s unAustralian and bad manners!

Posted on February 15, 2019 Caller type: Telemarketer Location: Australia
Telemarketing scammers, probably from an overseas call centre, routed through an Australian domestic phone number. I have been getting two or more similar calls daily from four different NSW (02) numbers, now this is the first from a Victorian (03) number. All four NSW numbers have already been blocked, now I have to add this number to my blocked number list. How many Australian phone numbers do these telemarketing scammers have access to before they run of numbers? I am getting tired of adding numbers to my blocked number list.
