Ra g me on my mobile. Said he was Nacon from Voicetalk a service provider for Telstra. Thick accent so I had him repeat things. Was calling about my landline and I was going to get free upgrade to faster internet 20mp/Sec or something. Was free because I was an existing customer. just needed my landline number to apply the discount. I suggested he should already have my number if I was a customer. An interesting call because I have not had a residential line for over 10 years.

Can these people be charged with harassment? There has to be someone held responsible for these people being able to get number after number and harass people as they do, encroaching on our family's lives. I can't even have a home phone anymore for security for my kids because it never stops ringing! Now my mobile??!!!! Blocked numbers still come through as missed call message. Very upset.

Same with me. I have blocked the number on my phone, but I did that before and they just get another phone. My sister takes the phone away from her ear and just presses random numbers so it sounds like a fax. Then hangs up.

Call received, then hung up. Received another call from Indian racing through a description of Telstra issues in last few weeks, and saying they are sorry and to make it better offered a deal of $99 p/month for phone, Internet bundle. All they need is my land line number and name, and they will email info. I declined and said I was happy with my provider, found out he was from a company called VOICETALK they have a website....he gave his name as Michael, id:2001339 Re: 402323....then he declined he said he was from Telstra. I rang the 1300 882 172 and questioned them, unless I would give them my Land line number and name, he refused to talk to me any further......
