AGL engaging in undue-harassment by way of frequency of contact regarding debt. These actions are illegal and do constitute undue-harassment. If you're being harassed by AGL it is recommended that you record all event(s) and report the matter to the police, you should press charges for undue-harassment as AGL act in breach of ACCC guidelines regarding debt collection and frequency of contact.

Turns out is is in fact AGL and completely legit.
After I refused their offer to pay by CC for a 20% discount, I called AGL to complain about the call and warn them that there are scammers at work, but they assured me that it was in fact their Accounts Receivables Team making the calls. I was flabbergasted, as my account wasn't in arrears (according to me) - I haven't paid my last bill because I left my last place and got the final bill with a new (future) date for the full amount. But because my disconnection request was sent out around the time the proper bill was issued, they expected the 2 bills to be paid within a week from one another. Fair enough, I suppose, but I just assumed the final bill will override the previous one. I was wrong.
Regardless - the call was completely unacceptable. Such bad Customer Service!
Claims to be AGL - was very forceful to encourage me to immediately pay my 'overdue account' (which it isn't) at a 20% discount. Stressed how secure the payment will be.
Wasn't at all understanding that I choose to pay the bill in the way I wanted to (BPay) and not accept the discount. Doubt very much that it was AGL, but they seem to have access to my account details, as they knew a lot of details.
If I had shares in AGL and it is in fact them making calls, I would immediately sell those shares - the company has zero idea about Customer Service and will be a worthless company in the not-too-distant-future.

Same as previous people, they claim to be from AGL and knew my first name. Asked for personal details which J refused. I had an account with AGL but not for a while, so even if this was legitimate call for marketing, it is still illegal to contact people who are not your customer on a do not call registry, which my number is.
Caller: Woman from AGL.
This is a scam, did not address me by name (therefore did not know who I was). Asked me to confirm personal details such as address and email address. She tried to advise me I have an overdue account. I don't even have any accounts with AGL.

A woman called me saying she is from AGL. She asked me to confirm my details. And I said, you called me and you should be the one to confirm with me. She refused to do that and asked me to search online. When i told her there are more than 9 complaints about this number. She just hang up rudely. Fraud!
I got a call from what my phone told me was a "potential fraud" (lol should look at the caller id before answering). She said she was from AGL and asked me to confirm some details. She said before we do that I need to inform you that this call is recorded for training, I responded with that's ok its recorded from this end as well as you have call a work phone (they hadn't). She asked if I could provide her with another phone number and I said no. She then said don't worry about it and hung up !!

Received repeated calls from this number. Introduce themselves as AGL. They start off advising that the call will be recorded then ask to confirm the email address on the account. I advise that I have multiple accounts and need to know which one so I can tell them the email then the line goes dead. Similar pattern over the last few weeks.
Ambiguous message from this number. I can’t call back. Automated message with no details, I can’t follow up. Sounds like a scam message! Wanting payment for an overdue bill. Stated that if I paid over the phone then I would receive a 20% discount. When I advised that I would not provide my credit card details over the phone to an unknown number and person and that I would pay any outstanding fees online, caller became very disinterested in any further conversation and promptly terminated the call.
Wouldn’t provide me with the purpose of their call until I confirmed my personal details. I hung up immediately. Rude and unprofessional.
A rude lady was calling very rudely. Asking to pay immediately whare as i have the due date of 26 feb2020. Claimed from agl. How does she knows the bill details.
