Caller: AGL After too many years as an AGL customer and a few too many frustrating phone calls with fake american accents coming out of an Asian call centre, I have now found an Australian only call centre to monitor and produce my electricity bills. As warned by my new biller the emails & phone calls have started from AGL. I have no intention of talking with AGL, too little too late! Caller: AGL Retention Left AGL, now they want to talk.
Was advised towards the end of my 12 month contract that prices and discounts would change. I called them and said I was tired of having to play their game by only getting a good deal if I attempt to disconnect services with them. They said their hands were tied and to call at the end of my contract in case they could help. I'm done with it, went to another company. Now they want to talk. Should have talked when I called.

Caller: AGL Phoned me to discuss why I was leaving AGL. Then became really rude when I didn’t want to listen to their sales pitch for a better deal. Too little, too late. Just glad the call was being recorded 'for quality and training purposes' - they clearly need it!!!

Caller: AGL They called my mobile every day this week but not leave message when it rings out. Today they called on home phone, & Indian voice asked to speak to my wife then ended call when I asked who was calling. We had AGL power for 20 years but we cancelled when they put prices up & never told us. We called them 3 times looking for better deal & they offered nothing, promised to call back & each time never did. My contract with them ended a week ago & now they call every day. AGL couldn't be bothered to help before & now contact has ended they decide to call every day. Very poor attitude from AGL. I'm glad I moved to another Australian company that cares.

Caller: AGL After swapping to another supplier AGL have been calling and calling. I finally answered, if only to get them to stop. They want to offer discounts to persuade me to stay with them; discounts they didn't offer while they were happy taking my money for years. Caller (female, Indian) was extremely impolite and abruptly hung up on me when she realised I wasn't interested. Probably gets commission for everyone she talks into staying on and didn't want me to waste her time. Good riddance...

Caller: AGL I left AGL because they were too expensive, now they want to know what the other company is charging. That not how marketing works, if you want to charge as much as you can get away with you will eventually have no customers.

Caller: AGL Have been with AGL for years but found a better deal with someone else and now AGL keep ringing me to sign me back up. I told them the deal I switched to, they looked up the prices and then pitched me a new deal..... when I said "but your prices are higher than what I just signed up for and worse than the contract I just ended with you" they just said that was the best they can offer and they will sign me back up. Asian caller who wouldn't take no for an answer and knew she was pitching me rubbish deals. I had to hang up and now I won't answer this number anymore

After getting the current competitive info from the Vic government site AGL, sharp at the beginning of the year, was now a few $100's higher. I rang to see what they could do and the answer was essentially 'we can play games'. eg We can give you $25 credit after X months, $200 after X years, blah blah. All I want are straight forward understandable costs. The call centre could not help when I tried so I do not need to be on hold or in a 30 minute chat queue for their marketing.

Caller: AGL fed up too I have recently switched from AGL and have been getting calls over the last month from 03 and 08 numbers. I block the number; then another number is used. When I google the next number no supposed it’s AGL. Time to contact the ombudsman I think.

I just googled the number to find this page. AGL calling, obviously in response to my recent swap to another energy retailer. Too little too late. They didn't leave a message.
