After too many years as an AGL customer and a few too many frustrating phone calls with fake american accents coming out of an Asian call centre, I have now found an Australian only call centre to monitor and produce my electricity bills. As warned by my new biller the emails & phone calls have started from AGL. I have no intention of talking with AGL, too little too late! Support Australian Companies with Australian employees while they exist.

Left AGL, now they want to talk.
Was advised towards the end of my 12 month contract that prices and discounts would change. I called them and said I was tired of having to play their game by only getting a good deal if I attempt to disconnect services with them. They said their hands were tied and to call at the end of my contract in case they could help. I'm done with it, went to another company. Now they want to talk. Should have talked when I called.

It turned out to be a prostitution service trying to sell there services.
They can go f*ck themselves.
After swapping to another supplier AGL have been calling and calling. I finally answered, if only to get them to stop. They want to offer discounts to persuade me to stay with them; discounts they didn't offer while they were happy taking my money for years. Caller (female, Indian) was extremely impolite and abruptly hung up on me when she realised I wasn't interested. Probably gets commission for everyone she talks into staying on and didn't want me to waste her time. Good riddance...

They called my mobile every day this week but not leave message when it rings out. Today they called on home phone, & Indian voice asked to speak to my wife then ended call when I asked who was calling. We had AGL power for 20 years but we cancelled when they put prices up & never told us. We called them 3 times looking for better deal & they offered nothing, promised to call back & each time never did. My contract with them ended a week ago & now they call every day. AGL couldn't be bothered to help before & now contact has ended they decide to call every day. Very poor attitude from AGL. I'm glad I moved to another Australian company that cares.

My gas bill jumped from $70 per quarter, to $350 per quarter, with NO increase in my gas usage.
Apparently one five minute hot shower per day, should cost me $1,400 per year, according to them!
There are MUCH MUCH better deals out there from other suppliers, so do yourself a favour, look into the options and then SWITCH away from these criminals!
Same issue with AGL, Fed false and misleading information regarding contract only to find a new bill with new contract and significant cost increases. If I was fed the right info when I aske I would have switched providers much earlier and avoided the massive increase on my bill Caller: AGL - I believe
I had a missed call from this number, presumably because I'm about to leave AGL after being with them for many years. I was looking for a new provider because of a new solar system I've had installed. Gave AGL plenty of opportunities to give me a better deal, but they weren't interested. Now they know I'm serious and have signed up to a way better deal with another provider (On Ultra Solar which is a sister company of Energy Australia), they are probably trying to retain my business.

Sounded like an international call centre through an Australian number. Asian style American accents wanting to know why i was leaving AGL.
The phone call would be reason enough - fake interest from international person calling on behalf of a corporation.
I left AGL because they would not reply to my requests for a better deal. Am now with local provider with clear local autsralian) support.
Switching to another company and agl have called non stop. They offered another deal but its not as good as what we are switching too.
