AGL marketing rep. Keep on calling to sell their product.
Called me to advise that they were crediting my next bill to the tune of $100 for being a valuable customer. Was surprised but gladly accepted.
Was then told I would also be receiving a free Google Home-Mini for being a valued customer. Again I was surprised but gladly accepted.
Then the consultant advised that I could save a bunch of $$$ for switching over my electricity plan, to which I explained I am not interested and am happy with my current provider. The line then went silent for a few seconds before I asked 'Is there anything else?' - The consultant said 'Sorry to bother you' and the call was ended. Could have just said at the beginning of the call I had to switch to AGL electricity and I would have told the consultant to **** off. I'll now take my gas and electricity business elsewhere
Trying to ruin customer relationships with a poor marketing strategy
(03) 8611 5160 called twice at the same time over 3 days. Call ends after 3 rings. No messages left! This no. called me so I checked reverse aus everyone seems to think it's AGL. I called back but person answered with how can I help you. I asked was it AGL he said it was but wanted my name address n DOB. I gave my name and told him he could verify me with that info only if he really was AGL. I then phoned AGL using the ph no. on my bill. Their records show that they had not called me today. Original caller now blocked. Really Anonymous ... it's funny how we in Melbourne get a lot of interesting calls from similar organisations with Sydney numbers. I think you're drawing a long bow to equate your nuisance calls to COVID-19 cases in Melbourne. Perhaps you don't know much about COVID-19. Agreed...I've been called twice in as many days.

Melbourne / VIC is well known for self-entitlement/greed/grubbiness .... one wonders whether this is proportionate to their EXTREME number of Covid-19 cases.

Three calls in three days. I don't answer and they don't leave a message. Reading the other posts saying it's AGL but I'm an AGL customer so if they really wanted to talk to me surely they would leave a message. I'll be blocking the number - I don't believe it is AGL, I believe it's a scam/spam.

I have been receiving calls and texts from this number 2 or 3 times a week since February 2019. They persist despite no response from me.
Some Filipino lady calling me for some reason from AGL.
Considering most call centres in India and the Philippines have been shutdown and relocated to Australia, this probably a scam.
I wish these pricks would stop calling me - I cancelled them and went to another supplier two years ago - but they won't go away!
I had my mobile next me and noticed missed call message appearing on my phone screen, but it never rang. called three times in one day no message left. if it is important enough to call three times leave a damn message Same as others experienced, rings about three times, I answer then nothing - very annoying. I have now blocked the number. Caller: Junk Marketing
I just blacklisted this sucker. Won't be troubled by him again.

AGL - 5 missed calls in just over 24 hours. No message left. AGL customer service confirmed to me that the number belongs to them - promotional team.

Yep - twice a day of late followed by another VIC number that I also cannot identify - probably a scam. (Blocked)

Phoned 11 + times over a period of 10 days . No messages left. I now find it was AGL calling. My account is well in credit so unsure what this is about. I will look to change my electricity supplier.
