AGL marketing rep. Keep on calling to sell their product.
Called me to advise that they were crediting my next bill to the tune of $100 for being a valuable customer. Was surprised but gladly accepted.
Was then told I would also be receiving a free Google Home-Mini for being a valued customer. Again I was surprised but gladly accepted.
Then the consultant advised that I could save a bunch of $$$ for switching over my electricity plan, to which I explained I am not interested and am happy with my current provider. The line then went silent for a few seconds before I asked 'Is there anything else?' - The consultant said 'Sorry to bother you' and the call was ended. Could have just said at the beginning of the call I had to switch to AGL electricity and I would have told the consultant to **** off. I'll now take my gas and electricity business elsewhere

I wish these pricks would stop calling me - I cancelled them and went to another supplier two years ago - but they won't go away!
I had my mobile next me and noticed missed call message appearing on my phone screen, but it never rang. (03) 8611 5160 called twice at the same time over 3 days. Call ends after 3 rings. No messages left! Phone rang twice before I answered, picked up the phone with "good morni-" and the line went dead as they immediately hung up. Keep calling my mobile, don't leave a message. Calling from Melbourne Victoria so I don't answer, I don't live in Victoria. Really annoying. Caller: AGL - Could be a Scam
Called and asked if I was happy with AGL, I said yes. She then they asked if I had Gas, which is weird because they should know if I had it or not. I said No, then she hung up the phone.
Maybe a scam to record my "Yes" and "No" response

Caller: They said they were from AGL
They told me that AGL was my current electricity provider and if I wanted to switch my gas over to them as well. I told them that AGL was not my electricity provider. Then she confirmed my name and address. The address was of a block of land we are building on. When I told her that was the case, she said sorry to bother you and hung up.
I suspect it is a scam to collect private details.
Made the mistake of answering, they tried to sell me a better plan only to realise I was already on that plan. Then after a lot of long winded explanation about how they wanted to give me the best deal, I realised they were trying to get me to switch my electricity over to them, and as soon as I said no the call ended very abruptly. Pretty clear they only wanted one thing!

For the last 5 days, they keep calling me at least 3 times a day, and as I have blocked them on my landline, they have now moved onto the mobile phone or both. They never leave a message and often move to “private caller” if they don’t get an answer. I am supposedly on the “do not call register” but also a customer, so I guess I will continue to block them. If they need to tell me something, surely they can leave a message instead of harassing you.
SCAM This number tried calling me this morning but i didnt answer the call as didnt know the number. Checked the number on this site and found that other people had received calls from this number. Just another marketing company trying to sell you something by the sounds of things. They rang my home phone first followed immediately by my mobile .. I didn’t answer as I didn’t recognise the number. No message left so guessing a nuisance call. Caller: I don't know
Asked me whether the energy company is okay, then try to ask me about BOC. It was a weird call, it seems that they try to find out your identity
