Very rude people. Claim to be from the Tax Dept., rang twice, and threatened me with prosecution for some reason. When I called back to find out what the hell was going on, I was told to ring back tomorrow as they were closing, but when I mentioned their threatening phone calls she told me to shut up and listen at which point I hung up

Yep. As per all the above: CDPP, registered post, woman with an Irish accent, left two messages. Leaving messages upsetting my elderly parents. Tried to call the number but no longer connected.

They left a message saying I was being prosecuted for some tax reason and was told to call (03) 8400 4373
Definitely a scam since I don't work so have no reason to file any tax returns.

Received call/left message saying from A.T.O and they had sent letters for us to sign but we hadn't signed so if we didn't ring them back they would forward it to the C.D.P.P for prosecution.Wish they would come knocking instead of ringing !!!

Caller ID was not clear - message said it appeared we had chosen not to sign for a registered letter, therefore we needed to call this number immediately before the matter was passed to the CDPP for prosecution. When I attempted to return the call, the number repeated back was and '07' number and the call cost would be charged back to me.
Believe call is a scam.

This is a recorded message about tax and to call their hotline number.
Doubt it is even originated from Australia as it refers to DCPP as the prosecuting people

Some woman I could barely understand left a message, think it was about tax and to call their hotline (03) 8400 4373) before they handed it to someone for prosecution.
Sounds like they have a new number to play with

I have received a call from this number saying its is the ATO and they have been trying to deliver a registered letter. They then go on to say I have deliberately avoided signing for said letter and it will now go to the CDPP. This is a scam from some scumbag group... do not give them any information at all.
