I called back number (03) 8396 4142 reached IVR of a utility company called Energy Australia

This is Energy Australia - they called me after i made an online enquiry.

Caller: Energy Australia

I jumped on live chat and they confirmed that number is theirs and that they made an outbound call to me. It sounded really dodgy as when I asked them what address they were referencing on the inbound call, he said 'actually we need you to tell us, as part of the verification process'

Missed call then instantly received a text from 0488 859 908 telling me my Energy Australia account is overdue (it's actually in credit) and to call 1800 012 287. So called the actual EA number from website and it's a known scam.

Caller: Energy Australia

Called. I didn't answer. And then they left a silent voice mail...

This number calls multiple times a day and when I answer there is no-one there!

I’m assuming energy Australia but they harass from this number

I was on the phone to Energy Australia when l received 2 calls in a short period of time

Caller: I have changed energy providers after being dissatisfied with the charges and I specifically stated NOT to be contacted but Energy Australia still rang!

I am so sick of energy retailers not caring about giving the best deals until you swap providers!!!!

They actually are Energy Australia. I had it checked out as it was a man with an accent.

This number called my phone several times in a very short period.. made my phone ring and ring and ring until I answered. Bloke said he was from Energy Australia to which he didnt get the reply he expected and they have not rang back.
