Scam. They target seniors who can least afford to lose money.Vouchers were so say to help local traders and would help towards Xmas gifts!!They were mostly junk food vouchers!! No use to me and they refused to accept them back so take note. Beware. I thought they were from local council Despicable!!!¿

They're called urban promotions. They are a scam! Such a rip off! No one should fall for their tricks! Such a dodgy business! DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR LIES! I went to the address given to me to, to get my refund and they had closed down!

I am being harassed by calls from this number even though I am on the DNC register and I have a silent number. So when this number appears on my caller ID screen, I have great delight in picking up the phone and in an instant slamming it back down in their ear. So if they keep harassing me, I will continue to do the same action and see who gets tired of the scam game they are playing first. Besides it does break the monotony of my day and you know what, it makes me feel, oh so happy & revengeful , when I do it. Being nasty to telemarketers is good for the soul.

Wrong. It is not your providers fault. All telemarketers are supposed to run the list of numbers they intend to call through the Do Not Call REgister. It is a requirement of the Australian Communications and Media Authority. It is LAW. The Do Not Call Register is there solely for the purpose of reducing the number of unwanted telemarketing calls to an individuals' phone. It's only the fault of your provider if you have blocked the number with your provider and the blocked number is allowed through to your phone. In this case the caller has blocked the transmission of their number to the phone of the person they are calling (also a breach of ACMA legislation). You can't block a number if you can't identify it.All businesses that conduct their marketing by "cold-calling", are required to abide by the legislation. I suggest you read the information on the ACMA page to see for yourself. https://www.donotcall.gov.au/

I have found th voucher booklet very useful!i dont know what u are all winging about when your saving money in your own town..i called th owner of th businesses myself to verify and they happily confirmed..these workers at urban promotions probably have families to feed & bills to pay like u and i so cut them some slack for a phone call now and then..if your on the DO NOT CALL register and they keep calling u then its ur providers fault!and if are on DNCR then what the hell is th point of having a phone?idiots!!

I got my call this morning and they have updated their list of businesses and cited around 15 locals. President of the Chamber of Commerce told me personally that this is a SCAM. Please do not be sucked in.

Just got a message from a friend who told me to expect this call, although they are calling themselves Prince Street Traders in our town and only 2 of the vouchers can be used in our town.

I had 5 calls in less than 10 minutes from the number above. I said I was on the do not call register, but I was sucked in :(
Supposedly my booklet of offers is coming and hopefully I can use some and share the rest. This will be a one time only purchase as the booklet this time has all supposedly free offers. After googling Urban Promotions and arriving here, I am disappointed that 50% of the offers you would need company or spend an equal amount to make the offer worth while.
Normally I am not gullible, but this time I have been. Grr!

They rang me and I said I would take a coupon book, but then changed my mind. I rang back and spoke to the same lady and I told her I had changed my mind. Meanwhile first phone call she was quite pushy. The following working day got another call to ask to make sure to be home for delivery as it was COD, when I asked what it was that I was receiving she told me the coupon book. I told her not to bother sending it that I had spoke to her colleague and cancelled it.
The next day this colleague rang and asked whether I had received it, and I told her she better not have dared to send it, as I told her I didn't want it anymore.
She told me she couldn't remember talking with me regarding that conversation that she had been in hospital. And now 3 days later, I just missed a call from them.

They rang me today. The person tried to get me to buy $130,000 worth of discount coupons for a small amount of money. I have a silent number and have had it for several years.
They were incredibly rude, then hung up when I said I wasn't interested.

The group is Urban Promotions (www.urban.com.au). I was sick of receiving their calls, so I went on their internet site, clicked on contact us and emailed them to stop calling my number as it was private and not listed. Heres hoping it works!

I received 3 calls in the span of 10 minutes from this number but didnt answer. I decided to ring back as I have a silent number, I got an automated answering machine that said I had contacted the "ober Group" I think it was and that they did business for other companies. within 5 seconds of hanging up they ran again, they must have ESP or can see my private number?
