I have had two calls in the past week offering coupons for Cobram retailers. First time when they asked for $100 dollars for the coupons and were told not interested. Second time my wife was talking to them and she told this girl we don't shop in Cobram and was rudely spoken to and asked WHY NOT!! Answer we live 45min away. With that the person on the other end of the phone started asking details of where we lived etc,end of conversation

Got a call from this number this morning. Let her spend about 5 minutes with her spiel on how great this book of vouchers were, and which businesses were "involved". The thing is, these businesses pay money to be in these books, they lose money when people claim products/services with these vouchers and us poor suckers pay for the books! So who wins? Only the promoter! Just about to ring one of the businesses to see if they actually are involved. Also, rang this mob back and told them I was on the Do Not Call Register and she quite rudely informed me that all the numbers they call are "washed" through the DNC register and if I was called it was because my registration had expired or someone else had recommended me. Be interested to see if they bother trying to ring me again.

I received a missed call on my p\hone this morning and called back - was told to wait to see who called me and then spoke to someone who asked how they could help me, and then went on to ask me questions about where I was located. When I would not divulge my location the person became very rude and aggressive and then hung up.

I understand that they may be a legitimate business but as my number is registered on the do not call register it is not legal for them to call me. I have left them a message to explain this and if they call back I will see what I can do to stop them

I have had 5 calls from these people to-day, 9 calls in total, even some on my mobile. I too am on the D.N.C. register. A warning appeared on facebook from our local Tyrepower centre warning they have no contracts of any description with this company, and will not honour any vouchers. I am also an aged pensioner.

On the Do Not Call register - phoned my mobile Urban Promotions - she called me darling too many times. Said I had been nominated by my local shops..... I told her I don't shop at the local shops. She said, well you are obviously a long term resident - I told her I am not a long term resident. She hung up.

I have also been sucked in by this company of Urban Promotions Pty.Ltd. (Ph.No. 1300 737 777) to pay out $95.95 for a FREE local business voucher package of approx. $2,000/3,000 value but which, ultimately, proved to be a total waste of money as most of the vouchers were of no use to me at all.. The practises of this company ought to be thoroughly investigated as they target people who can least afford the money, i.e. and especially vulnerable pensioners.

I rang to complain about the bullying tactics used to get me to say yes and to ask for refund and the woman told me I didnt have a gun pointed at my head to make me purchase the vouchers and then hung up on me.

They caught me. They used 1300 73 77 77 but it was urban promotions. They are still chasing seniors. They don't acknowledge the so-called "cooling-off" period. They are all sweetness and light until you question them. Then they turn nasty.

Read the small print on the back. Were you told you have 10 days cooling off period. I also gave in and agreed to purchase but paid via cheque which after looking at the coupons decided they were worthless to me and cancelled the cheque. The bank did not charge me the normal stop cheque fee. I wondered if this was because it was written out to Urban Promotions. Sent coupons back, rang the number on the back and left message saying I was returning the booklet and cancelling my cheque.

Urban Promotions did the same thing to me, I have never had anything to do with these promotion books before and new nothing about them and the girl who spoke to me made them sound like a great benefit saying all the right things, no doubt they are well versed in how to suck you in. I live in a country town and a lot of these vouchers if they were useful to me are in towns miles away, they don't give a damn if your a senior they just want your money, their despicable a pack of leeches. Oh yes I am also on the do not call register for all the good is does.

I received a call from "urban promotions" today. They wet straight into their spiel and I didn't get much chance to respond besides to say "yes I shop locally". Carla then said grab a pen and write my details down, so I did and she then asked me for my details to which I replied that I do not provide personal and financial details over the phone. She then said "well why did you take my details then?" I told her that she had told me to do so. She then said "so you have just wasted my time then, I hope you have a rotten day" and hung up on me. Extremely rude and I wouldn't deal with these people now even if they are legit.
