someone called me from this number, its telemarketing again from Compare Your Bills

some f*cker called Nick with a subcontinental accent asking me about energy bills. my elderly mothers phone number which I picked up because she's blind. i suggested he kill himself with fire.

Persistently calling day after day - eventually had to block the number - spam

These turds have been calling every day for a year or more. Many numbers from melbourne. Indian accents. I have spoken many times politely and told them to stop calling. They still call every gdamn day. I wish they would all die.

Heavy Indian accent with Aussie name just kept speaking... I asked him to hold the line for a second, put my phone down and walked away.
Not sure how long he waited, hopefully I annoyed him.

I have been getting calls from this company for over 2 years. I get 02 and 03 no’s. I said I am not interested and they still keep calling. I keep blocking their nos and a new one from either 02 or 03 pops up. I know this is a scam as he makes a point to tell me that he is in Melbourne and he gives me his first and last name (John benson ) I never asked. I said that’s an unusual Indian name. He said he was a Christian. Tells me I am really smart. Wants my address and my electricity bill information. Gave him fake name and address just see how far I can go. I ended up saying not interested. They still call.

I'm going to start answering unrecognized phone numbers with "Fraud and Scam investigation, which scam are you reporting?" and see how quickly they hang up.

Spam caller, my phone automatically blocked it, but there was an automated voicemail which was silent then said "goodbye"

Tried several times (at mealtime!) when I was out of earshot . It was indicated as potential fraud. Thanks for comments. I shall block it.

When I answer unknown numbers I pretend to be a mental patient who doesn't understand anything. The last one asked to speak to my carer

Telemarketer seeking to discuss my electricity bills, but not from my current energy provider. The silence at the start of the call after answering is a dead giveaway that you're being connected to some distant call centre and to hang up.

I never answer calls from numbers I don't know and I suggest everyone to do the same.
This number never left a message which to me is a clear sign of
a) Not important or marketing of some kind of bullsh*t
b) A waste of time calling you to change electricity provider or internet etc
c) More sinister. Sometimes these cunning little hackers are trying to get a digital profile on your voice by recording you to aid in hacking your accounts etc in the future.
Remember, if it's important they WOULD leave a message or a number explaining how you can get in contact with them and what it was about.
Don't be a victim people!
