Getting scam calls from 03 7032 xxxx . Why is this allowed? I must provide ID to obtain a phone number..are these people exempt ? Authorities can sure identify abd deal with repeating offenders at least

Got a text supposedly from WESTPAC (I don't bank with them) telling me that if I haven't recently set up a new outgoing PAYID - to call (03) 7032 1010 to report it to their fraud team

I just got a text saying an unauthorized transaction has come out of my account. Going to a James Biggs. They apparently got into my banking. Seemed well spoken articulate, sort of an English accent. So I googled their number etc… found it must be fraud. Very clever.
The number I was asked to call is (03) 7032 1010.
He also asked my date of birth and my full name, I only gave him my name. I refused to give my dob or my signing in ID number. Very scary as I was told the person / scammer was trying to set up as a payee.

Scam. Amazon store and I didn't order anything.
Automated call.

Caller: Amazon (automated voice)

Saying my payment will be debited within the hour and my package would be delivered in 2-3 days. If I did not place the order to call them or press 1 to speak to an agent... (however this was a voicemail).

PS. I have not placed any order with Amazon, yet have an Amazon account.
