Had a woman call me about my electricity bill and how I was getting taken off the grid... I told her I lived in a shack in the desert and had no running water.

Caller: I don’t care It doesn’t bother me because I have a secretary and a mobile number that scammers can’t call. That’s right, I look after my own lazy butt and quite frankly, i really don’t care that Australian people are suffering. In fairness though, I must say that it would probably really annoy me if I was getting scam calls everyday and yes, I would implement some changes to stop this. However, as mentioned, it’s not a problem for me.

My rule is if they are not in my contacts I don’t answer and if they don’t leave a message I block the number.

I like(!) the way a lot of these calls now ring both my mobile and landline simultaneously - as in both phones start ringing at the exact same second.

My Question is: “Why is this allowed to continue when the Culprit is known ?”
It is obvious these People use Commercially In Confidence Data.
Where is the oversight to deal with this ? It is also obvious the ‘Do-Not-Call Register’ is failing in its one and only Job.

The fault is the companies that we give our numbers to, selling their numbers lists. Could even be your local doctor for all you know. Can be scumbags in all areas.
