SO SICK OF THESE CALLS WHICH USE RANDOM LOCAL LOOKING NUMBERS, BUT ARE NOT LOCAL.
I am a JP and need to answer unknown incoming calls.

Answered home phone (which rarely ever do).and we are on do not call register and everything.
hung up after a few seconds of silence after me answering....nuisance....

This number called - I didn't recognise it....so blocked it ....sick of these daily nuisance calls

I could tell it was from a call centre so hung up.

Calling me about electricity. Asked to speak to account holder. Told them it was hubby & they will call him. They called my mobile & l have blocked it

I did not recognise the number (home phone) and as usual I just let it go to voice mail... nothing, hung-up as soon as voicemail triggered. Checked this site... have now blocked.

Just noticed the number try to call me today.

I ask them if they need to speak to the bill-payer (decision maker, etc). Of course they say yes, thinking it's legit. So I say, "one sec, I'll go get them" ... and make them wait and wait and wait. Eventually they just hang up.
If they're going to waste my time I will waste theirs
