As a customer of Latitude finance (because they were formerly GE) I called them last week to advise that the harrassing phone calls is not how they should do business. They advised me that after leaving 3 messages then they hang up. I retorted that they leave no messages and just harass like prank calls.

Valid number, for the next few months while a sales campaign is run.
Just ask to be taken off the list and they won't call you again.

I've not called back. Unusual that the number is Victorian, but I've not seen a Victorian number start with a 7 before. Has anyone else got a call from this number?

Just idiots! New sales call technique. Leave missed call. When people call back, ask for details. And if you ask 1-2 more questions they have the audacity to cut the call or just get aggressive. Financial ombusdman must look into this!

Called me because I have a GO Mastercard and asked if I had anything planned that would require a loan. Yeesh.

Called and left no message, always suspicious of these calls - why not leave a message? Waste of time.

Scammers I reckon. They were asking ME for my number and full name, I said 'I don't give that information to anyone over the phone, if you can tell me my name and number I can confirm it - and they couldn't.

As someone who knows this system, it is VoIP, and it comes out of Sydney and Melbourne. The staff are based in Melbourne.
No voicemail is left as it's a computer doing the dialling, and once it detects an answering machine rather than a human, it disconnects.
Deal with it. This is how the world operates these days.

I have had this number call twice over the past few weeks. I have answered both times, and they hang up without saying a word

Lattitude (previously GE) Financial's outbound sales department. Always call me to see if I want to increase my loan as I'm paying it off quicker than they'd obviously like. Personally I would and have blocked them
