Claimed to be a collection agency. I refused to confirm myself. In regards to an account that was cleared up over 6 years ago. I know this, because I had to clear that up to get my car loan for the car I paid off in November last year. :)

The start a conversation to my voicemail, as if it is me. All they do is ask for me by name over and over, and then hang up. IF they left details I would call back but there are way too many scams out there, and I am not planning on falling for one. Block the number and it cycles through another number. Same voice, same thing every time. Has been going on for months, but they have never left a message other than saying my name over and over again as if they think I am there and not answering them. Weird was to operate a business or a scam in my opinion.

When I answered the phone was silent / blank on the other end … after a good 2 mins I hung up. My phone said the call was coming from Hobart Tasmania

I called back the number (03) 6217 9851 and the person I spoke with said the company is Credit Corp Group

She asked for a reference number. Given the context, I suspect they are a collection agency. The woman that answered spoke with an American Phillopino accent.
