Neighbour was being loud af so I called the non emergent line
An hour later this number called me but I was asleep so missed it
Called it back and it's Tasmania Police

Caller: Said police radio

haven't been able to pick up the phone call cuz early in the morning.. so weird.

Called to confirm my mothers address to take her home safely (non urgent Tasmania police line)

Tried to tell me I pocket dialled them? Was Tasmania police, called at 12:30 midnight. Stay alert I’m pretty sure they’re tracing calls. Very weird conversation.

They wanted to confirm my phone number but how did they get my phone number at the first place,? They alleged that a bicycle was being stolen and do not know what they are talking about?

Caller: They said Police non emergency

They said my name and asked if I worked for the local council for animal control.
What a strange call. It was all back to front. The guy who made the call said he was police, he seemed nice...just the call and reason for call was odd.

Return call from police (non emergency)

Early morning call, by the time I had picked up and saw that it was a private line, caller had hung up.

Bloody tried to ring at 1am
Was dead asleep

I called back number (03) 6169 4144 spoke to a woman but did not hear her properly when she said the company name.
