Well two days in a row what SCUM they are, I thought the ATO was located in Australia
not india or America, even the ATO did not know they have relocated overseas, only a
dill would fall for these scumbags.

Caller: SPAM should be 100% NOT Tax Department

As I am well and truely retired and have not had to deal with the TAX DEPARTMENT for more than 12 YEARS this should be rated at 100%
as called blocked by unregistered phone number with Telstra Guardian so no rubbish message could be left. Reading other entries this number
is an OBVIOUS SPAM and not a 50% Score!

I had this call left on my answering machine a couple of days ago, warning me not to disregard this call. It was an Asian male voice not a Yankee female

8/12/15 received call from what sounded like an strange slightly American accented person stating the following "Australian Taxation Office - The reason we tried to call you because there is a legal law suit filed on your name, by the ATO, so finally before we take this matter into the commonwealth court, and before we issue a warrant, can you call us back on our number (03) 6107 9623. (number to call back was repeated) Do not disregard this message and do try to call us as soon as possible. Have a great day."

I was suspicious, but called the number back from a blocked number. It was engaged, so then I researched the scam online.

Same call on my answering machine. When rang he spilled information of his name Brian Jones and badge no. (too quick to write down) and other no.s stating his ATO status.
His voice was exactly like the message on phone American. He stated it is an automative message and needed to hear the information to know what he could do for me.
ATO stated they do not use automative calls always call in person. ATO confirmed it is a scam call.

Apparently a call about tax evasion and court cases. Female robot voice with an american accent.

I had a similar call. A man with a strong accent insisting I ring him before my case for tax evasion and fraud went to my " local commonwealth court". The ATO confirms this is a scam call.
