Caller: VISA and Mastercard department Received a call from (03) 5898 4732, reportedly from the VISA and Mastercard Fraud Department, asking if I had recently spent $900.00. I asked what bank he was calling from and he replied, 'Your bank'. When I pushed him further, he indicated ANZ to which I replied I do not bank with ANZ. Then he corrected himself by saying the Australian Bank. I advised him there was no such bank in Australia and that it was belief that he a scammer. I also advised I was reporting him to ASIC just prior to hanging up.
