Recorded message left on my voicemail saying me and my family were being investigated for fraud and a lawsuit has now been lodged. Apparently they have tried to contact me on numerous occasions. Immediately after this call I received another from 061476254827 and the message left was in an Asian language, I think Mandarin.

I call bullsh*t. Do not answer.

Received same call today. I have received no letters or any other comms from the ATO or my accountant / tax agent. I'm ignoring it. The bot message was a nice touch though.

Same as above... I didn't answer but the message left was that me and my family are being investigated. I am sure if it is something legit I will receive mail regarding it. Until then... as they say..."bullsh*te"

Received the same message on mobile voicemail 10 Jan - strong American accent generated voice. Blocked call

I received the same call today from (03) 5294 0497.

Same as above. Answered phone to recorded message in American accent. I didn't listen to all of it, hung up.

I just received the exact same phone call from this number. This is a scam. Be careful.

Recorded message claiming to be the ATO and that I was being investigated for fraud, and to call the number back. I did, and the operator asked for my name. I said I wasn't convinced they were from the ATO, to which they replied "I'm not here to convince you of anything, good luck getting arrested, a**hole", and then hung up on me.

Sounds legit.....

I got exactly the same thing as Julia above. Sounds dodgy to me.

I rang once and got disconnected

Message said "*something* investigation team of our department is investigating you and your family. We had tried to notify you regarding this issue but we have never got any response." I also call bullsh*t. And leave my family out of this...
