Could be a mistaken dial but sounded like a call centre scammer when I picked it up. So the number has probably been hijacked by scammers. I dialled the number 5 minutes after they called just to see if they answered. Nobody answered so I think it has been hijacked. The number is listed as a legitimate business in Mildura, Their Telstra message bank was full which is a symptom of the number being hijacked and people calling it.

Caller tried to get us to change our router settings - claimed to be from Telstra.

No idea but they never bothered leaving a message on the answering machine so suspect a scam!

I called back the number (03) 5023 4041 and reached vm that did not mention the company name

Caller: They said they were Telstra technical department.

Call said they were Telstra technical department. Sounded like it was read from a script.
