Caller: Thieves

Message left from ‘Bakery Hill Victoria’ pretending to be Visa security querying a $900 Bitcoin purchase item on my credit card.
These criminals will eventually make our phones useless.

Caller: (03) 4334 1995 “Bakery Hill VIC”

Automated message saying there was a pending PayPal transaction of $900 currently blocked waiting approval. Hung up and checked my PayPal straight away. Nothing was wrong. Scam caller.

Caller: Listed as “Bakery Hill Victoria”

Claimed to be PayPal claiming a $950 gift card had been purchased via my PayPal acct.

Caller, a woman with an Indian accent, said she was from Telstra and that someone had got into my account and changed it from private to public. She wanted me to get into Google so that she could help me restore my settings. I don’t have an account with Telstra!!

Call from "Bakery Hill , Victoria" pretending to be from Telstra. I hung up immediately.

Received a call from this number. Phone smart picked it up before it rang and marked it as 'potential scam'.

Caller: Scammer from 'eBay'

Said they were from eBay making a verification call for $500 gift card; said my number was registered however, when I asked who was it registered to they promptly hung up.

Saw another comment mention PayPal. Well it might actually be PayPal because my account is in arrears and I didn't realise. Decided NOT to pick up. Prefer to go direct to PayPal account myself and fix my account balance. Now they have no reason to call me so problem solved, without needing to worry if it's a scam call. If they call you, I suggest to NOT answer, but maybe just check your PayPal app directly to see if maybe your account is in arrears. It happens sometimes without me knowing because PayPal will pay for my items even if my actual bank account is low sometimes, depending on the amount. Don't know why they do that because it creates this debt collection process and extra work for them. But oh well. Anyway don't answer it.

I checked number through a different app and that said that number is used by two ppl in NSW 🤔
But other says it’s Bakery Hill VIC. WTF

Another scammer. i am no longer answering the phone if i do not know who it is. if they are genuine they leave a message.

Male with accent claims to be working with "Australian Cyber Security Centre" to report that another person was using my account. Complex scam to get further identification details

Scam call from 'Bakery Hill" pretending to be calling about NBN/broadband/telstra account. When I told them I don't have it, she told me I was lying to her. I told her she was lying to me and then she hung up on me. Sounded like she was in a car making the call on the way to somewhere. Scammers!
