Just received a call which I didn't pick up. I let it go to the answer machine. It was a recorded voice from a Ron Robson (American accent) saying he was from the ATO in Sydney (funny that, the area code is 03) regarding Tax fraud against my name. Definitely a SCAM! Similar to (02) 6140 3413 which is also the same type of scam. I never answer calls to numbers I don't know which I screen first always..

Caller claiming to be from ATO ... I am pensioner and don't pay tax so obviously a scam.

Received 6 calls from this number over 2 days I was not home at the time and have resisted the temptation to call back. The voice was computer generated which was also odd. Just ignore it is my advice ATO would contact by mail if there was an issue to discuss.

Received the same 23/12.....they haven't given up!

Got a call from this number advising I was being sued by the ATO. I called them back and they hung up.

A scam for sure.

Called three times in half a day with recorded message each time of Ron Wilson (American accent) from Legal Department of Australian Taxation Office Sydney. Stated that legal petition notice of tax fraud against my name and went on to say call this number as soon as possible to avoid the Federal Claims Courthouse or before you get arrested.

Recd the same message as Margo on my answering machine.

I just got a call from this number as well - a woman with an Asian accent - claiming I have a Tax Fraud claim against me. Definitely a scam

I also had a call today same as Margo except voice was definitely digitised. Have had similar type of scam through email.

I just recieved the same call, gave me a bit of a fright. The number was exactly the same as what Margo above wrote. I'll just ignore it. This site is a godsend.
