I have received 2 messages so far today but have not answered either.
Instead I phoned the ATO and spoke to someone in their SCAM dept and
reported Ron Watson Etc.
I always let my Answer machine filter my calls as there are so many scams about.

iPhone OS says the call comes from Canberra, I'm pretty sure the ATO don't call out from Canberra.
And they never make first contact by phone

fraud claiming to be from the ato they do not call you u solicited

Just called ATO and they confirmed it is a scam. ATO would always contact in writing or through myGov.

Received a call from a Ron Walker or Ron Walters claiming to be from the ATO about a Tax Fraud filed against us. The voice sounded like a Text to Speech tool on the voicemail and given the similarity to reports against (02) 6140 3419, I assume it's a scam as well.

Some Philpino female voice looking for Joseph third call from her. Threatened her with police action and she just goes "anyway" and then continues with her rubbish, doesn't miss a beat. My mobile now has the number blocked but seriously why isn't Telstra looking at pages like this

received this call 3 times today, not the first time I have encountered these scams as they tried this crap with my elderly mother who had the sense to ask one of her kids about it, but it is the first time I received the call myself.
low life scum really and I hope the law catches them sooner rather than later.

Two calls one yesterday, repeat today. Unable to understand as 'ethnic' voice. Such an intrusion!!!!

luckily didn't get to the phone quick enough but noted number and looked this site up for possibilities.. sprung! thanks to this site :)

i stupidly called back to be told that i had defrauded tax and the
re was an arrest warrant pending that i could be jailed for 7 days before appearing at court and fined a total of 35000 dollars and be deported back to Russia.. funny the fact im scottish ehh!! or pay out of court 5000 dollars . i told them to arrest me and get fu**ed . These people sound like professionals and could get away with this with some people BEWARE!!!!

I also filter my messages on my answering machine. My friends and family know to start talking so that I will pick up if I'm home. I had four messages from 'Ron' today.
