called back, a guy answered that said he was from "Let Us Compare". Spam, annoying.

Caller: electricy compare??

At least 10 calls in past day .. even after I politely said that I was not interested ... should have blocked earlier.

Got a call from (03) 4122 8000 at 7pm today.
My phone says its from Cann River, Victoria.
I didn’t answer because i have no idea who this is.

Very annoying, picked up the call, but nobody was talking.

Claim to be from Telstra and claim that your internet is going to be shut down. They go on to say that some illegal activity has been received on their server based in California. They want you to sit in front of your computer and do a reset and start up with Google Chrome and install software with which they can gain remote access to your computer. In my case because I strung them along as I wanted to find out what they were up to and realised they had been rumbled the so called supervisor told me " Go f##k yourself". This is not what a Telstra staff member would nor any other reputable company rep would do unless they were looking for dismissal.

I called back number (03) 4122 8000 spoke to a woman but did not say for what company.
