Caller: I don’t know Male with Indian accent called. Said he was from Telstra and over the last few weeks there had been errors with my internet. I said that I wasn’t even with Telstra and he said that they do Aussie Broadbrand and other internet companies. I asked if he was the same scammer that had called me last week asking for my address (which had actually occurred) and he replied, “Have I asked for any personal information?” I said that I didn’t believe he was legitimate and that if he wanted to get in touch with me he could email me. He then hung up. So, he was obviously a scammer.

Caller: (02) 9770 0165 When I answered, I heard background noise, similar to a call centre. After a few seconds I was asked “can you hear me?” I hung up straight away as I have heard of a scam that once they record you saying “yes” they can use it to bypass any voice recognition security.
