Just got a call from this number, I let it ring out as I didn't know the number (not in my phone book) and wasn't expecting a call from NSW, now after Googling the number I just blocked in on my smartphone. Hope this stops any further calls from it.

Called at 7:45pm and after reading these comments, it's a scam caller, so I didn't answer. Have blocked & reported it.

SCAMMERS ALERT

TOTAL SCAMMERS CALLING FROM (02) 9191 9742 - some guys with ancient tired to convince me that if I didn't pay $1250 over the phone now via debit card I was going to be taken to court and they knew I left the scene of an accident over 12 months ago. I played along for a bit as I hadn't had any accidents and when I asked for details he got aggressive so told him he needs to play with his little d*ck as I'm not silly to fall for his stupid scam.

Insurance scanners.
A man phoned asking about getting the details about a supposed Insurance claim. This is just after the recent hailstorm when every second person seems to have an legitimate claim. got annoyed when we asked for more specific details.

Just received a message from a guy with an english accent claiming he was from MVA (Motor Vehicle Accidents?) wanting to talk to me about a motor vehicle accident I had had in the last 18 months. I said I have no idea what you are talking about he said it must be someone else in the house. I said no you incorrect he apologised and said he would close the file. Obvious a scam attempt.

This has now becoming a monthly event . At first it was an Indian then Hispanic Filipino accent. It has now been upgraded to an Irish accent just to keep you intrigued and to hold on the phone longer. In future just hang up and end the conversation by saying get a decent job.

The scammer called, claimed that he knew all about an accident I have had and when I started questioning him on where he got my details he said he knew all about the accident. I told him he had the details wrong and he got angry and said I had made a fraudulent insurance claim and he was going to report me! I couldn't get any details to report them. He gave me this web address www.caseworksgroup.com.au
I suspect it is a UK outfit as he kept telling me that I could get 8,000 pounds.
