A nuisance caller, answered but nothing but silence on the other end

This is why I NEVER answer numbers I do not recognize. They ruin it for everyone...

Answered call and then heard a beep which I assume is then recording anything you say.

Just got a beep then went silent

Same complaint as everyone else. You answer, it beeps and then nothing.

I picked it up and immediately got disconnected.
There is a great previous comment: "Because if you pick up, it proves the number is 'active' and they keep it on the database that they sell to other annoying spam callers and dodgy companies - to be able to pester you"
Message: Never pick up a call from a number you do not recognise. If you are curious, check out the number on sites like this.

to blocked number.. must be traceable... landline.

No response at the other end. Very annoying when they are calling businesses, especially in the health industry, because you cannot block the number.

Repeat offender - when I answer, I hear a BEEP - then caller hangs up.
As their identity is known, how do our authorities allow them t get away with this harassment ?????

Received call today - agree with other posts. Don't answer calls that aren't on your contacts list (let them leave you a message). If their call is genuine, they will leave a professional message - if not, it was scam all along.

This number rang out time after time after time first thing In the morning like some insane freak. Then when answered a snort and hanged up.

this is a company calling numbers to check if they are active or not. once you pick up the phone it must include your number on a database so that other spammers can call you.
