guy says im not selling just 4 questions take 10 secs - claims he is from the council, when questioned he hangs up. cant call back number.......

Been getting calls from Russia and Costa Rica of late. I dont answer, just block the number. The federal government has to do something about these f*cking annoying calls.

I have been getting calls from random numbers every few days for the last few weeks. I answered last night and it was some punjab sounding dude who knew my name and my address! claiming to be from the government calling about a solar panel rebate. Of the numbers that have called me I have google searched and all come back as having complaints. There is a large on going scam going on. I advise every every to report this to scam watch and do not answer when they call as they may be recording your voice for a banking scam.. Other numbers I have encountered:

Knew my name, but fortunately my phone is crap and I often get bad lines. I know from experience that people can hear my voice clearly, but I couldn't hear them properly. It was a woman with an Asian accent. I would be interested to know more about a complainant above wrote: "I advise everyone to report this to scam watch and do not answer when they call as they may be recording your voice for a banking scam." Does this go on? Can someone enlighten me?

I don’t answer numbers I don’t know. No message left. Blocked based on these comments.

Extremely annoying, every couple of days. Never responds. Number blocked. Such callers should be prosecuted. If its a computer-dialled number should be stopped. It is possible that the caller never receives this feedback.

Just a scammer wanting your money.

Sensing it's a scam I don't say anything as I answer. Then they simply hang up. Has happened a few times with this number

Could you please block this number (02) 9136 2360 they rang and when we go to answer it they hang up straight away thursday 3/12/20 they called at 4. 00pm

Unknown unsolicited call from this number and when call answered, a female voice just said "shut up" ?????

Indian said his name was Alex from the Australian Bureau of Statistics and just wanted to ask 4 questions. What age bracket was the first one. Hung up.

Caller: Indian callers

I have had 4 calls. First said from Lifestlyles Victoria asking to complete a short survey. When questioned as to why I would be answering a Victorian survey when I am in NSW, he hung up. Second call hung up as soon as I answered. Third call was a missed call. Fourth call asking to complete survey of lifestyle changes in my area. When I asked her where ‘my area’ was there was a pause, then hung up. Obviously scammers after info and/or voice recording. Number now blocked.
