Insurance company scam

I received a call by this number (02) 9099 5646 which they appear they are some insurance company, a lady stated my full given and surname which also mentioned I had an accident that occurred last year, I have no clue who she was her accsent was British I had couple of questions for her and said where are you calling from which company are you talking on behalf and also what type of car do I drive ect, she was so rude and irragent saying don't worry about it and hung up the phone on me, I'm afraid they get you to say yes and record you and they can use your reacording say Saying (Yes) at anything, on behalf of myself and others safety I will contact department of NSW Fair Trade to lodge in a complain

Insurance scam

persistent calling over one week period. leaves caller on hold with music for long periods without answering, or identifying themselves .

Received 2 of these calls today. Same mode of operation as outlined above. Consumer Affairs may be interested in this.

Just said I don't own a car or have a drivers license . . . they hung up haha

Got a call today saying I was entitled to compensation just needed my Reg and the Reg of the third party to proceed with my claim, I wouldn't give him any information clearly a scam, he got annoyed and hung up.

Block them - it's a potentially dangerous scam call

4 calls received. I answer and they never speak. Now a blocked number!!

They called and said I had a small car accident. I refused and they hung up.

I have had a few calls from this number, I did answer this morning and they had the wrong name and when I said I did not know this person they just hung up. Previously I had tried to call them back due to a missed call but you get an answering machine and then after about 4-5 minutes it just says "Good Bye" and hangs up, has to be a scam

Number goes straight to a recording that does not even identify who the company is .... first mistake!!! Same loser keeps answering by the name of Ben, however, the recording clearly states ALL AGENTS are busy but it's only one loser.

Been getting this call 10x a day... just picked up and yep, 'Ben' asks if I had an injury in the past 12months... simply, take me number off the call list and pls do not call back.

Injury Direct, girl with British accent - likely a temp travel worker - (seems like they've stopped using Indian call centres).
She knew my full name and became annoyed with me mind you, when I told her she had no right to be accessing my details because:
a. I had never had and accident with injury and
b. do not have a compensation claim pending.
I have blocked the number.

This call is not different from the ones we used to receive in the name of ATO. I read most of the comments here & agreed as I've in the same situation. They said each of us would get 30,000 to 50,000 out of this claim. Both these guys had British accent and they were Amanda and Ben. The guy was very rude and unprofessional. I insisted on getting their address but he kept refusing. He got irritated and rude. He started arguing. If he was from a genuine company, he could not be unprofessional under any circumstance even if I was constantly swearing at him. He possibly thought he got a genuine client to rip off but it was nearly resulting in vain. Then I simply hung up on him. They'll somehow try to make money from you. So, please stay away from them.

I was getting these calls on a daily bases would answer and they hung up had to go to my phone company and change my number. it started again same number finaly phoned back ad got an answer when I told him I was going to the police he got abusive so I hung up

So had them call me 3 times today. Apparently they are called Injury Direct and dont like being sworn at hahah
