Massive scam

I called back number (02) 9056 7684 it says the number I have dialed is not in service anymore.

Caller: SCAM!

Massive scam, saying there is a warrant for my arrest and my name is being used for illegal use... lol

Called back the number and it doesn't work lol

Keep calling repeatedly using different (02) numbers.

These Numbers are often calling in regards to a survey that perhaps the person had given their number to, usually online. Perhaps you answer a survey showing interest in "shares" for example. Your number then becomes used all over the internet being used by marketers interested in selling you their product. Often the number can read as an Australian landline number but infact can be from anywhere in the world. If you're unaware of who maybe calling, let your message bank or service receive the call. If they leave a message then you can call back, If not it's generally a scam caller.

Trying to get me to buy into a ‘income stream’. Called consistently from midday up to 10pm. Joke.

Been getting a few failed attempts from this number over the past month.

Today I answered, and it was a call centre.

The lady was saying that she is calling me because I've indicated that I'm interested in earning extra income (via Shares) etc.

I hanged up. It's a scam obviously.

I'm assuming they knew my name and number, unless they got my name from this or previous calls by the way I answered the phone mentioning my name.

Do not answer this number. Block it.

Have blocked number.

This number has called me twice in 6 days, and not left a message there for I am listing it as a nuisance caller

Person on the line sounded like a Filipino and probably was calling from a call centre. She was EXTREMELY persistent and did not want to hang up even after I told her I am not interested in whatever she is trying to sell me. Kept asking me why am I not interested even after I explained NUMEROUS times! Frustrating! Told her to remove my name and number from her list and she was reluctant to as well. Totally horrible. The funny thing was too that she called me by a totally different name. When I said you've got the wrong number, she went on to say she didn't get the wrong number because she thinks I'm a potential customer. Extremely absurd by the call.

Originally rang 10/01/2020, but I didn't answer.
I tried SMSing, but failed, perhaps it's a Landline. Didn't pursue further, didn't call back.

Today 20/01/2020, they called again. I answered, but they hanged up.
Did a search online, and found that others received a call, and assigned a negative review to it.

I will assume it's suspicious or a scam. Best to not answer it, and not speak if you do, in case they record your voice for malicious purposes.

Telemarketers or scammers for sure , hate when they use dialers
