called me at 4:54 in the morning! if they are from Vodafone call centre in India, they should be aware when the people from Australia are sleeping.

In my case, this was a legitimate call from Vodafone.
A man with an Indian accent called from this number about my Internet service and an available upgrade. He was polite and sent a SMS to my mobile which matched Vodafone's number. It all seemed legitimate, but I was wary. Shortly after the call, I received appropriate emails from Vodafone’s legitimate address that contained information that a scammer would not know. In addition, the upgrade offer was completely in line with Vodafone’s published offers and is appropriate to my area.

Claiming to be Vodafone and that my service will be cut off… I’m not with Vodafone so it’s clearly a scam to get personal identification details or money!!!

Was on the online chat for Vodafone - was not happy to start a chat I had to give my phone number. Then the chat people kept passing me on and on and then disconnected. Suddenly two missed calls within seconds from this number in NSW yet a text message came from a different number entirely

Finishes my plan of doing anything with Vodafone as I can’t tell what legit or not

This number is definitely a scam. Someone called me claiming to be from Vodafone and when I said I will call back they tried to redirect me to call this number.

I called the normal 1555 Vodafone number anyway and the operator at Vodafone confirmed that they would never use any other numbers (including the one the scammers gave me) and will never ask for any details over the phone.

When I gave them this number they confirmed it does not belong to them.

Caller: Vodafone care (fake I guess)

Called twice on Sat 17/6. Missed the first one and answered the second call. It’s robocall saying that my Vodafone account is due for suspension and press 1 to talk to customer care. I hung up. I logged in to my Vodafone mobile app and confirmed that my payment is up to date and no red alert. Is Vodafone number got hacked?

Caller: I didn't answer the call

Yesterday 2:06PM 19th June 2023 I received a call from Vodafone Care (I actually had this number saved in my contacts, though I don't recall doing that). I didn't answer the call because I'm not with them and figured it was possibly a marketing call which I'm not interested in spending my time on. So I didn't answer. Approximately 15-30mins later my phone went into SOS mode and I was unable to make any phone calls whatsoever. My phone is still out of action. I put my sim in another device and can make calls successfully. I wonder if my phone has been hacked? Im not sure what to make of this and no-one seems to know more.

DEFINITELY A SCAM

(02) 9015 3555 called me twice. I didn't pick up. It is Saturday. No legit company will call you on a Saturday, outside working hours.

After reading the comments here, I am sure it is a scammer, not Vodafone.

I don't have a Vodafone account. In the past yes, but no longer.

NEVER GIVE ANYONE PIN CODE SENT TO YOUR MOBILE PHONE.

By giving the code to someone, you enable the scammer to access your account (and order anything from your account or hijack yoir mobile number).

NEVER GIVE ANYONE PIN CODE SENT TO YOUR MOBILE NUMBER.

If you have given the scammer your SMS code, you are at risk of losing access to your account. Contact your telco immediately to tell them what happened and ask for help to secure your account.
