It is Apple. I got a call from this number regarding my iTunes account. This number will only call you if you have contacted them.

This is Apple's Main outgoing Caller ID. If you are receiving a call from this number, chances are you've contacted Apple Before. It's NOT a spam call.

Said they were Apple Support. I have never had any Apple products, it's a scam.

Called at 10:16pm...

THIS IS A SCAM!! I have contacted Apple directly and this number is not theirs. I received a text from the same number informing me they have cancelled an order I never placed and to click on the link. Apple told me to report it as a phishing scam.

I got 6 missed calls from this number. Rang back and they couldn't tell me why they've been calling me. I haven't contacted Apple.

It’s definitely Apple, I ordered an Apple Watch and wanted it put on my Go Card. They called me back on this number.

I don't own anything Apple and the voice msg left was as if I called them saying "thank you for setting up a support call. To reschedule this call dial so and so". Very dodgy.

It’s 100% Apple - I missed a couple of calls after ordering an Apple Watch over the phone. This was the finance folk calling me to arrange payment via GO MasterCard.

Yep, Apple. They were helpful in relation to the return of a faulty iPad (refurbished) and because they couldn't replace the Apple iPad mini, they're replacing it with an Apple iPad mini 2. Thank goodness I Googled their number and then took the call!

Left a voicemail saying they were from Apple Support, thank you for calling to log a job with them and to please call back when convenient. Only problem with all of that is that I never contacted Apple for any support. So I’m guessing it is a scam call spoofing off a legitimate number to make themselves look legit.

This is not helpful guys. Some say scam some convincingly say no. The thing is i did purchase an apple phone online once. Ever since somehow i kept getting the feeling that someone had access to my phone, call me paranoid. Then eventually i started getting actual snail mail , with my apple id, which were at the time just initials used when purchasing things to my actual address from very clearly scam places. 7 years later (with no issue by the way of being caught out in a scam) or losing money at least, i finally purchased a new phone 13pro. Now i have heaps of issues with trust and just wanted to call apple and get some support. It was late at night and they were super helpful. Then i went to call apple today and this chick asian said they had limited information due to privacy but wanted me to tell her my apple id - no they didn't ask for passwords. The thing is it felt wrong, so i hung up, used a different number to call apple heard these clicking sounds in the back ground - not the first time, and i get the same chick? Hello? how is that possible ? this number is now calling me back. So seriously , Scam or apple? cause i don't have a clue!!!

did not answer, pre-recorded message from "apple support" asking to call back, called back again 10 min later.
I called the actual Apple Support (Au: 1300 321 456) and they had no record of calling me or a support request being logged...
they advised multiple reports that this # is a scam number.
