I received a call back from them on this number as I had requested using an online request form on Apple's real support portal. This is a legitimate Apple support number.

This is a scam! I’ve contacted Apple through an official contact number & they confirmed this is not their number. Ring Apple directly using a number on their official website if you need support. Don’t receive cold calls!

Received 3 calls in 5 minutes from Apple Support. I haven’t contacted them at all so I don’t know why they are ringing me constantly.

It's not a scam, I couldn't remember my apple id password . This is apple support, they fixed my issue by guiding me through steps on my mobile without asking for any personal info. It's legit. The Sydney apple store confirmed this phone number belongs to their support line

Claimed it was Apple support, giving me option to speak to operator or schedule call for another time, after 3rd call in 5 minutes I tried the operator option only to be placed on hold for several minutes.

I so not use Apple products, nor have I ever contacted Apple before, so why am I suddenly being spammed by this service?
