Caller said they were from Westpac, then line dropped. Westpac Bank sub - contractors selling Westpac products such as income protection, credit cards etc. Have been calling me for the last 2 weeks this number has rang every weekday since Friday while I'm at work goes to voice mail and it is a blank message Same here-i have had a call from the these guys every day for the past 3 weeks, i'm on the Do Not call register but obviously they don't get it... St George sales office. I just got a call from that number as well. I dont answer it if its a 89 number as it generally means theres no one on the other end of the line.... friggin scammers.... havent they got anything else better to do with their time than to scam innocent Aussies.... just makes me sick Keep getting calls from this number. have saved them to my contacts with the title #Ignore this. Really tired of this Tried to call my mobile today Just got a call from this number where there was nobody on the other end and then it put me through to THEIR Telstra voicemail message telling me I'd rung them and I could leave a message. I'm assuming they are making their money by reverse charging using this scamming technique (?). Also having many calls from this number and I don't have a Westpac account. Suspecting fraud also...... I used to get calls from (02) 8973 0800 constantly, but I called 1300 731 384 and asked them to remove my number. I have not had any further calls for weeks. The person I spoke to when I called to unsubscribe said their company name is Sykes.com This number is just more scum bags trying to rip off the innocent they need to track them down and prosecute them A lady from this number called me and she knew my name. She talked quickly she was from st George bank and about amplifier card, but didn't understand. She asked my suburb, I told her, but when she asked my date of birth, I refused. I didn't know what she was going to do and obviously such sensitive info can't released to a stranger. I want her to clearly tell me her purpose of calling and she asked me to go to local branch. I called st George bank credit card service number and they said nothing abnormal could be found with my credit card. I asked them to confirm the phone number, but they said their system was down and can not find anything. Possible they have been geting so many enquiry like this. Idiot westpac. I answered and said I was at work so couldn't talk they would need to call me back after 6pm WA time so they call in the mornings. F-off!! I answered a call from this number this afternoon while getting lunch, there was a pause before the caller's voice came through and straight away I thought "telemarketing calls", the typical background noise of call centre was obvious. The caller spoke REALLY fast, so fast that I couldn't catch his name, all I heard was something about St George Bank at the end. The caller had my maiden name and repeated asked me if I was that person and to confirm my identity he wanted my details starting with DOB. Straight away I hung up. I don't believe in identifying myself to strangers on the phone, it works the other way in my book. I have received calls from this number on and off for months. When I answer nobody speaks. If I don't answer a blank message is left. I have tried calling the number back but received different messages / voice mails. One message was Westpac with special slight offers. They said to call 1800 731 384 to stop the calls. Had a call from this number at 4.22pm on Friday 16/5/14 - most annoying as I was busy getting mail ready for posting. The person said he was from St George Bank and I said sorry I'm too busy to talk can you call back after 5pm when I will be able to talk. The person never called back. I have reported this number before to Westpac Bank and I don't think anything has been done. Caller keep calling while I am at work and leaving 2-3 voicemails but with no message! It is annoying and rude to constantly have to check voicemail and no message has been left so obviously someone is calling and when I don't pick up they stupidly go to voicemail and then hand up after a couple of seconds. Moron or huge moron? Pests Also said from west pac then hung up
