I called Virgin and they said they can't block the number but they are going to watch for it. After I said that apparently it's their marketing. I doubt I'll find anyinformation, if they call tomorrow I'm going to the Police, I've only been on Virgin a week and been getting these calls since I transferred.

I picked up after a couple of rings but they hang up immediately. If they do it again I will be calling Virgin to have the number blocked.

I heard they do this so that you return the calls and they benefit from the phone calls. This was annoying on a pre-paid phone as they would call all the time and had I returned the calls I would chomp through my credits. I list the number in phone as "do not answer" so that the kids and hubby do not answer the phone either.

Progress! I called Virgin on 1300 555 100 and the operator blocked that number for me. Time will tell if it works, but others might want to do the same.

They call me every day, including weekends and I just ignore the call. It upsets my dog though. Woof Woof. I don't take calls from unidentified callers - at all.

I have three missed calls from this number, consecutive work days (eg Friday, Monday and Tuesday) and no voicemail.

If it is Virgin why don't they leave a message we have free voicemail? I will be going to the Virgin store and complain today.

I've had this number call me 8 times.. Once a day for 8 days consecutively. So annoying because they call in the morning and I do night shifts so I sleep during the day. Therefor I've missed each call and of course... When I call back... Disconnected! Grrrr

Called yesterday, I answered, they hung up! Missed a call today, called back and the number is disconnected? Something is just very wrong here! If you're going to call a customer at least leave a message so it feels a bit more legitimate!

I had many missed called from the same number. Finally picked up and they said they were from Virgin Mobile and wanted to confirm my details. Sounded dodgy and I told the person so and rang the 1300 virgin number to have my last call traced. Apparently there was a message on my account saying that I'd called the woman dodgy and it really was a customer service call... waste of 30 minutes to find out it was legit... I still don't think i'd want to give you my personal details that way tho...

At least 5 missed calls from this number,but will not connect when returning the call! It makes sense it's virgin tele sales,so I will ignore all future calls.... I wonder if mr Branson is aware of what there doing?

I have just answered this call today, and its one of those telemarketer from Virgin(India).
They offer to evaluate and upgrade your mobile phone plan... blah blah blah.
[WARNING]
they ask for your account pin, birth date, password etc. DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM. They say its to get into your account and give you better advice. who knows what these Indians are up to? they may have your mailing address, but that about it. if you give them your pin/password/DOB, good luck to you then.
