Male caller left a message stating that I was being investigated for being part of a tax evasion / avoidance scheme. Said I needed to ring him back on 02 888 0490 otherwise I may be arrested. Do not ring back - this is a scam.

Received the same voice message as others on this page. The message said it was the ATO and I was going to be served a warrant for Tax Evasion. It said to call back immediately, which I did, but the number was blocked.
It's obviously a scam.

Man claiming to be from the tax office about tax fraud and tax evasive. First his name was Michael Anderson and after he said his phone number he said he was James Anderson

ATO scam, Phone back or risk arrest. It's not a public number in the phone book or on the ATO web site. I phoned back and told them what to do with the rough end of a pineapple.

Just rang it again after being threatened with arrest under Commonwealth law. He asked for my phone number, told him I didn't want to give it to him so he said "f*ck you buddy" and hung up. Really classy people these. Obviously a scam so best not to call to give them a serve unless your number is private.

Michael Anderson - Claiming to be from Australian Taxation Office. Threatened elderly lady to pay $8700 or they will issue an arrest warrant and then would cost her $80,000. When I phoned him back asking which office he was from he hung up on me. Reported to the ATO scam line.

This the annual June Tax Scam saying that the ATO has a warrant for your arrest regarding a tax matter

Some Indian bloke leaving a message on answer phone that I would be arrested for tax avoidance if they weren't called back.
Obviously I didn't just another scam

Recorded message from "Tax Office" informing me a warrant being issued for my arrest. Hung up before payment details given. They called again several hours later.

Unknown number called me and left a message saying they want me to ring them back on (02) 8880 0490 in regards to tax evasion. Scam

Recorded message from 'Michael Anderson' claiming to be with the ATO. Says there's been a legal complaint lodged against you and to call that number before a warrant is issued. Call initally comes in from a blocked number.

Says they are the tax office and that I'm to phone them back or risk going to jail for tax evasion! I don't work there for I don't pay tax!
