They ring me at least once a week when you ring back to find out who it is the phone number is disscounected (obviously I do not ring them back after the first couple of times) How on earth did we ever get to this ? Once it was a pleasure to answer your phone and now you are scared It is unbelievable that this is allowed in a country that will prosacute you for an impolitically correct comment yet we are attacked ilegeally every day by Telemarketers Scammers Beggers Donation seekers Politicians (elections this week) and of course your common criminal I though we had private phone numbers

From Compare and Save. Asking lots of multiple choice questions about who internet provider is, age bracket, which bank used etc. When the number is called back its has an automatic response saying its disconnected. Sounds like a scam.

Guy with a heavy Indian accent said his name was "Michael Williams" (yeah, sure) and invited me to do a "60-second lifestyle survey". When I asked if this was legitimate market research and not a sales call, he assured me no-one would try to sell me anything. When I told him I didn't believe him and that I work in market research (true) and no genuine market research survey could possibly be conducted in 60 seconds, he became abusive, so I hung up.

called but wouldn't leave message. I called back, but a non-telstra disconnected recording occurs. absolutely unsolicited, and must be linked to a scam of some sort.

Same, I blocked the number yesterday but today received a missed call from it... how that happened I don't know. It's called my phone every week day for about two weeks now but no-one there when I reply and then line drops out. Try to call it back and get message that the number is not connected! Whoever you are, if you are reading this, please send me an SMS with a pic of your drivers licence, birth certificate, passport etc... so I can do a 100 point check on you!...Thanks ;)

You should not give these people any information whatsoever because they sell it to organisations as marketing info. I heard on the radio the other day that you have to be firm and say No, do not call me again and I do not give you permission to use any of my information for any purpose and hang up.

Just got a call from this number, very invasive questions. Who is my ISP provider, who do I bank with, what would be my monthly saving if I reconfigured my mortgage, do i have health insurance and with whom? They purported to represent a company called Compare and Save, but no such listing on the Net. They also asked my age and confirmed my address (where I moved from nearly 3 years ago).
