It's a marketing scam. Have reported them to both Fair Trading and the federal government scam reporting website

You can down an app that recognises spammers and the like and blocks their numbers automatically. You can also tell them what numbers to block. I got it from Playstore - called ID - whitepages caller ID and Block - its american but works here in oz. read the reviews and make up your own mind about it. Goodluck

Got a call from this number today (24/5/16) I never answer unknown numbers, if it is important then they will leave a message. No message left and going by this must be a scam number.

Do not answer this number. Do not talk to anyone. They seem very nice do not answer any question. They will bribe you with promised presents but will never show up to their appointment.

They have been calling 3 times a day for the past week or so. If I answer, they hang up. If I call the number back, you either get a strange message that the mailbox is full or you get a message saying the number doesn't exist! Would love to abuse them, but no-one talks!!!!! Have now put on rejected call list.

She called my mobile from (02) 8660 0039 and said she was from Strategic survey's and that I'd filled out an online survey last September 2015 and I'd won an Android tablet! She asked if I remembered filling out a survey (which, I'd done a few legit ones) and answered maybe. I pressured her to explain who exactly Strategic was and who their brand partners were (that I apparently filled the survey out with). She couldnt explain much at all apart from they were a survey company in QLD (...but she's ringing from a NSW number??), so she went on with explaining a bit about the tablet.

She then asked to confirm some details that I filled out on the form. She verified my surname, but then it got iffy;
Her: "So you've said you and your partner are between 28 and 58"
Me: "Errr yeahhh" (Pfht...28 and 58 is a wider number! And I technically dont have a partner)
Her: "Cool thanks and you said you have a mortgage and around $150,000 worth of equity in the home?)
Me: "Uhm no. Thats wrong. So you're totally are lying to me and I never filled out any survey!"
Her: "Oh... so you dont have a house? You might've owned a house a few years ago!"
Me: "What is this actually for?"
Her: "Its to win a Coles gift voucher."
Me: "...but you said it was for a tablet! And I actually work for Coles, so that's a little weird that I wouldnt know about it!"
Her: "Ok well thanks for your time and goodbye"
*She hung up in the the middle of me abusing her while she said goodbye*

I've also reported this number to Scamwatch https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/

I just got a call from this same number from a (Jordan) saying the exact same thing that I apparently done a survey last year in September and that I have now won a free android tablet I did not give away any financial details however they have my name and address and what me and my partner do for a living. But apparently because I am under the age of 28-58 I don't qualify for the free promotion. I'm now a little worried that they might be using my information for other things, how do I stop this or report it to someone? Please help me guys

Just received a call from this number. Apparently I entered a competition last year but didn't win the first prize, a $1000 Coles voucher but as a runner up I won an Android tablet. When I asked what the catch was he said that it'd be delivered with an info pack for home owners from some financial company. I told him I was renting. He pretty much said bye and hung up. I'm guessing I didn't win an android tablet! I didn't give him any details nor do I remember entering a competition like this.
