I called back the number (02) 8629 4007 and reached vm that said I reached Commonwealth Bank

I picked up the call from (02) 8629 4007. The guy on the phone claimed he's from Commonwealth Bank. He needed my ID info before we can chat regarding my personal banking. I told him I will visit the branch. There was no drama though.

Was called by this number “Blacktown NSW” gathering by other people’s responses it’s commbank to do with personal loan follow up. But they have an app and site inbox for follow ups.. I applied ages ago not quite recent and I shouldn’t be receiving phone calls about it if it’s already not going to be processed due to me needing to provide “more info” even though I’ve provided maximum information to them

Recently made an enquiry - it s a curtesy return call.

I did not answer and although they reached my voicemail and it seemed they'd left a message they did not actually speak.
I am awaiting Comminsure to contact me but I have had a few different numbers calling. Not sure whether to trust this number or not.

I didn’t pick up the call. But later on I called the commonwealth bank and they said yes it was from them. It’s a genuine call.

It is definitely a scammer. All they want to know is your account password. It is not the order the CBA usually use.

It claims it’s from commonwealth bank, asked my personal details.
I asked him what’s the purpose of this phone call? He said he can’t not discuss with me unless he can verify my identity.
So I told him f*ck off!
Because it’s tax back season coming so that’s why those scum bag wants your details.
However just tell them f*ck off !!!

Scammer, said they were calling from Commonwealth Bank. When I said I didn't trust him he lied he would be willing to send a text message to verify, or that I could go into the nearest branch. Spoke in an Aussie accent, fairly convincing.
