I have received multiple phone calls from a male who is very forceful claiming to be from Universal Technical Care.
Like the above messages he was stating that he was receiving notifications everytime we accessed the internet sent from Microsoft to his company and that he could fix these issues.
The phone numbers he provided to call back were:
(02) 8272 5278
(02) 8235 7540
They call on private number so I have been unable to block these calls.

I don't want to give my name but I am constantly being phoned by Universal Technical Care. Despite being told to 'get lost' and giving the boss a right dressing down, the calls still continue to come. The telephone number they gave was 02034055863 which is probably false. When I lied and said I had a Mac. they asked if my husband was called Rex. No. How do they get away with this scam? Let us all tell the media in England about it and get the message out to the whole country..........

I have just received a call from Universal Technical Care( (02) 8045 0592) from a foreign accent speaker. What she said was very similar to all the above comments. I said that I would get someone to look at my computer, but she was insistent that only they could guide me through the problem. It was obviously a scam.

Twice in an afternoon, a male (Asian) and a female claiming to be from 'Universal Technical Care' I probed warily their credentials, and found them very overt and insistent as to their allegation that I had a dns virus. I probed, got a phone number from A MAN HEAVY asian accent, after hanging up on him, found the number to be false. The female was like the man, very much forward and insistent. I to be honest told her to piss off. The number given and name was Alex Johnson (02) 8073 0272, which is a disconnected number.
FYI these people have adopted a forceful attitude now, they are like charities, won't take NO for an answer. The last word I spoke with these people was 'F.......Off

Persistent calls received 3rd and 4th June 2014 from Universal Technical Care. I told them my computer went to work and won't be home until later! Asked if I could call them back and the response was that it was a one way call only.
Why are these scammers still operating?

Just received a call from Universal Technical Care - saying that my Macintosh PC was sending them error messages due to a trojan. Interesting conversation which I got fed up with after a while stating that I did not have a Mac and wasn't interested in their product. They provided me with a false ABN number too.

Reported to ACMA as I'm on the do not call register.

these people have just rung my home four times - its 8pm sat eve. Telling me I had a virus - you seen their website?? Anyway having a meeting with the AG's dept and senior members of the ACC and AFP and will tell them to pull the website. Guy was really aggressive with me. If they call just simply say you do not have a computer at home.

Hi everyone out there. I just got a call and had a amusing 20 min discussion with them. They are a scam and I do recommend everyone to check this page from Microsoft.

Just had a call from a "Mike" in the UK from Universal Tech Care. He said I had downloaded a heap of virus's and trojans on my home computer so they needed to fix it. I told him that is the worst scam I have heard to date...even worse than the Prince from Nigeria who owes me $100,000,000 USD.

Rick from Universal Technical Care rang to advise us we had internal problems with windows which he could repair and wanted me to give him access to my computer. He readily gave his phone number and company name and instructed me to ask specifically for him when I rang back. Don't think I will be....
