This number just rang out my mobile ph one after another
Naturally interrupted a client session, so I hanged up ... this seemed to set them off for the re ring
Need these banned in Australia!
The caller mentioned a product order. I haven’t put in an order. Blocked the number. Caller: Telstra
It was Telstra, but i hung up and I called them back on 1800 550 849 to be sure.
Are the positive messages on this site from the scanners themselves? They seem too similar or to naiive.
After setting up a new mobile at the local shop I received a missed call from this automated Telstra number. When I replied I was then transferred to an overseas customer service centre to confirm details.
This is definitely Telstra, they called me every day until I returned the call on a 1800 number. It was regarding a recent order for internet I put through that I was having issues with. The number does go to an offshore call centre, but it is definitely Telstra.
This number is OK.
They were calling to confirm a phone plan change made through a retailer.
The automated answer when I picked up was a bit worrying at first but it was all above board.
(02) 8488 4922 says they are telstra and to push 1 to confirm order. Rang telstra they know nothing about it. It's happened on home phone line and daughters mobile which isn't with telstra she blocked it on her mobile. I'm going to see if I can block on my home phone Telstra call from the Philippines. It is telstra, it is their annoying automated system and at times it just rings and rings and rings again, day after day after day....week after week. I have spoken to 4 people at telstra now asking them to remove my mobile number from the numbers to call on my account. They are phoning me to tell me I can't get an ADSL upgrade (until NBN comes out) and they are calling every few days to tell me this. I have spoken to humans and as much as I would like faster internet - I really don't care two hoots to hear that I can't get it for ?? months or maybe years. I don't need them to keep phoning me to tell me the same thing. The poor accented call centre staff don't need to hear me complaining about it every time I ring the 1800 number with my mile long reference number. This has been going on for over a month and so far the only satisfaction I have had in the whole debacle is typing this sad post!! - so thankyou for that. claim to be Telstra about a problem with order and tell you to ring 1800 550 849 and quote a very long reference number. I have checked with Telstra and it is definitely a scam and is probably coming from overseas (using the (02) 8488 4922 as a relay number). My mother was getting several calls every day. We have now put a block on all overseas calls, and hopefully this will stop them. was an overseas call centre for telstra australia. couldn't understand a word he was saying I called back number (02) 8488 4922 reached IVR for a company called Telstra. Simulated IVR for Telstra. End up getting to a person scamming for Telstra details. Well documented online as a scam caller. nfa I called back number (02) 8488 4922 reached IVR for Telstra. Yes Yes it is Telstra but as usual it's a foreign accent which can be very hard to understand. Just try to be patient with them......I know it's hard, but that's Telstra....they don't make anything easy. In my case they were checking if a previous fault had been satisfactorily completed. I called back number (02) 8488 4922 reached IVR for Telstra. Claim to be Telstra wanting details.. don't give it to them.
