I receive these continual calls to my landline and mobile. I blocked them them from my mobile but they leave a voicemail asking me to call back to 1800 550 849. They claim to be from Telstra regarding problems with details on an order. Telstra has absolutely nothing to do with it and that is not their number, I discused it with them at length.. THIS IS A SCAM, do not call back, do not press button one,do not give details.

Received several calls from (02) 8488 4951 claiming to be from 28degrees credit card and that there was a security problem with my credit card. Asked me to click any number to continue. I did not instead I hung up.

Nuisance about electricity rates. I blocked them and they called me from a similar number a few days later!!!!

I think (02) 8488 4922 is from Canadian Pharmacy using harassment.

Caller: Fake Telstra

Automated call pretending to be from Telstra about an order made in June. Wanted my personal details before proceeding further. Dodgy as given that I hadn't placed any order with Telstra, caller was clearly from India and apologized for the background noise as they were working from home.

Got multiple calls from this number (02) 8488 4922 advising to call back on a 1800 number. Initially I ignored it as the Truecaller app classed the number as Telstra Spam Call, however I actually do have an open order with Telstra and decided to pick up the call today. Was given option to press 1 to confirm it is me calling, 3 to confirm that I am a person who was given approval by the account holder to speak on behalf or 5 for other (pressed 1). Went on hold for about 1 min and then spoke with a Rep, was a bit suspicious at the start but he did have my details and proceeded to talk about issues the delivery of my Telstra order and wanted to process a re-delivery attempt. So to confirm, this is a genuine number, albeit with a very suspicious automated message which is most likely going to be ignored these days.

I saw a missed call from (02) 8488 4922 so I checked the number and ended up here which is good, now I know it's yet another scam. At least this one appears to be from an Australian number but that doesn't mean much, the other day I got a call from the Telstra technical department about my internet connection and said I'm busy ring back later, then I checked where the country code was from and it was Thailand and he actually did ring a couple of hours later but I got rid of him in short order and this time his country code was Sri Lanka so he obviously owns an SR71.

Was Telstra's India call center using VOIP.
Scammers could hijack this number, so better off calling back.

Sorry. I'm in the minority here. Seems like a genuine Telstra call to me. I actually had an order placed with Telstra and the voicemail from this number even quoted that order number. I called the number 1800 550 849 back and the automated system was able to retrieve the order history.

Third time in two days this scammer has started the call cycle or leaving a message. Strange that it only started up after an action with Telstra about pre-paid mobile broadband.

Blocked their calls but now keep getting voicemail messages telling me problems with my Telstra mobile. What a pity I don’t have one! Got to hand it to these scammers they are persistent.

I got a call from (02) 8488 4951 from Master card Fraud Department. I wonder how these people can operate in Australia

I received quite a few calls from this number but never leaves a message. I see someone else here recently said it was a 28 degrees scam and coincidentally I have received scam text messages regarding that company too

They say they are Telstra and that I need to call back about a problem with my order. Surprise surprise, I don't have a Telstra order.

My issue is that I am waiting on my number to be ported from Vodafone to Telstra, I've been waiting since last Thursday and their email says usually within 24 business hours - so 3 days. Now 2 days over but they do say "usually", I suppose the lack of commitment should be a sign in itself not to become a Telstra customer. No message was left by the caller. I will call Telstra myself but it seems odd that Telstra would leave no message so perhaps all is coincidence and they are Spam/Scammers
