a scam caller, left a message stating the 'ATO' have issued an arrest warrant against me, and how myself and physical property are being watched ??? pure lies

Same ATO fraud. Received from (02) 8416 8054 and twice from (02) 8416 8065 all on my mobile today

scam caller claiming to be from ATO with warrant for arrest.

They are scammers from India. They might have a connection here as they seem to have information from a person's tax return. I spoke to them. Report things like this to the tax office as the tax office will want to know if somebody is leaking information to them as appears to be the case.

I called them back, got through to the next available operator, and she opened the call with: "What do you want?" Sounds as though their number might be getting the crap pranked out of it – and that's an excellent outcome.

yep same here, they even called from another number when I blocked the original number. I have received 3 calls today in 1.5 hours.

Scam call. ATO is going to arrest me and my property is being monitored. They gave a phone number to call back, but I didn't bother.

This is a scam because the ATO will never just call you. You will receive a letter in the mail first, or if you have the ATO app, they will contact you through there. You should only receive a phone from the ATO if you are expecting to hear from them, not out of the blue, like this.

Block the number straight away.

Idiots stating from ATO in a robotic voice with American accent saying there is an arrest warrant and myself and physical property under surveillance and to call them back immediately!!!

when I called back they said ATO. I doubt it though, I hung up straight away
