I had the same call today. I did not catch the 'foreign' person's name or company. He said, "M...(my name) you have been involved in a car accident in the past 12 months?" I answered "No!". He said, "Are you sure?". I answered, "Yes, I haven't been involved in an accident." He hung up. Very suspicious. What are these people doing.
Also, noted it took a couple of moments to connect, so maybe using VOIP. (nice and cheap)

They claimed I was in a car accident and had unclaimed money from the incident. When I said I wasn't in an accident, they proceeded to tell me that it may have been someone in my family, I again told them no in which the lady on the phone said "sorry for this incorrect information" and hung up.

Have received a number of calls from this number. They said they were from Roadcare - said l was involved in a car accident in the last 12 months. Told them l was not - asked them who the hell are you - they hung up. Scammers need to be named and shamed.

I had the exact same situation. The caller was named Emily. She said "oh, that's odd our details say that you have".

My partner just had a call from these scammers - put him on speaker so I could listen too. He could give us no details just kept saying it was in regards to a road accident in the last 12 months that we were due compensation for (gave us a suburb which was the last suburb we lived in). My partner asked which vehicle was supposedly involved (as we have more than one but had not had any accidents) and he said "I don't know, you tell me" so I told him he was a filthy scammer and to f**k off, then hung up. He rang back and said he was from the NSW department of road traffic incidents (we live in SA) and he didn't appreciate being sworn at. Just hung up again and blocked the number.

Got a call saying I was in an accident and they had a cheque for $20,000. I asked for details and kept probing for any more detail about it and they wouldn't give any relevant details other than that. When I said "I havent been in an accident in the past 12 months" he said what about the 12 months before that. Reallya trying to scrape the barrel there. I laughed and he then hung-up.

Not only ring my mobile at least once a day, They have also now started ringing the work number. I have had 5 calls in the space of 1 hour today. When I tell them they are all over the internet as scammers they hang up and then ring back and start the same conversation again
