Caller said he was from Trend, and that he had sent me an email. Asked me to open the email which I did. Sender was "Mike" @ some mob I've never heard of. Asked me to click on a link in the email. I smelt a rat, told him I wasn't interested and hung up.

Tried to instal trend micro on new computer then received a phone call from Robert claiming from trend micro and claiming my computer had a virus and they would fix it for $400.
Total fraud and scammer how are these grubs getting away with this ??

I was trying to install Trend Micro on a new computer and required some customer support,they asked me for $299.00 to install a new anti virus, but I had six months left on my Trend Micro.

I called the real Trend Micro and they told me that they were in contact with Google to shut their bogus Web site down, they also told me they were in contact with the relevant authorises in Australia.
I did not pay them, but they nearly fooled me.

Trying to install trend Micro on a new computer had an error message come up, Received a call from this number straight away telling me i had a virus he wanted to remotely go into my computer and it would cost me money to fix it before i could load on the anti virus on.
I called the number back and they answer with Thank you for calling Support!!

Wanted credit card, phone number and email address to load trend micro on computer when I’d already purchased it with an activation key. Asked for access to computer and said I needed to buy another product because someone has my IP. Was very suspicious. So did not give credit card.

previous comment is correct asking for $300 which is already in my anti virus

Caller: Mike pretending to be McAfee

Awful sent email to McAfee because I was having issues logging onto their website when a chat session started, he then rang and got us to put in all these details then said he wanted $299, I turned internet and computer off very quickly and realised it was spam.

Indian Guy Called and ask if i was trying to installed trend micro told him I have not contacted or requested any help from trend and he hung up

I bought a new laptop, installed Office successfully but an error message came up when I was installing and activating the Trend Micro Internet Security. I rang the 1800 number and spoke to Indian technician (bit rude and blunt), who took control over my new laptop and showed me a couple of IP addresses which were supposedly monitoring and attached to my Wifi. He wanted me to pay $399.99 on the spot. He aggressively wanted me to get my credit card and pay. I said no and hung up and cancelled his remote access. I have notified JB Hifi who are selling these Trend security provisions as well.
Extremely dodgy. My intuition says to stay well away.

Just received a call from Robert Blitz, claiming to be from Technic Online Support re our McAfee PC Support Office.Indian accent. I refused to give him details or access to our system. He gave me number 1800 985 148 ext #407 to phone him back on once I had checked legitimacy. Total fraud!!!

Indian accent, knew lots of personal details, claimed Trend Micro Support ringing to tell me my software required updating. As a regular subscriber this happens automatically so definately a scam.

I have problem with Norton anti virus, I contaced Norton online chat, I have told someone will call me, after a few minutes someone called his name is Shaun has Indian accent, he control my laptop and access my email, he told me to pay $300 I refused and I told him I will complain then he started to close web pages in my laptop and hang up, today I got a call from Norton they told me they didn’t call and it was scam. Be careful. I will change my email and I don’t know what to do with my laptop because he accessed it.

Did just that and added a few expletives to boot. So bloody annoying

Rang about my Kaspersky. Said I have paid an amount last year. I said, why are you on the phone to me? He said he was from support and there was something to do with an update that hadn't been done. I knew this was a scam, so I said not going down to a hoax phone call. I rang the number back and got another Indian operator, who asked me for my Kaspersky ID. I said, if he needed to contact me he could do it via email. Kaspersky do not make individual phone calls. Beware everyone. Another scam to gimmy some money for some sort of support. Don't pay any money to these thieves.

Call was supposedly from trend micro.
He knew my ID no & how many times I'd rang previously for support. Scary!

I tried to activate my trend micro after a few minutes my phone rang and a man with a indian accent saying he is ringing as customer support from sydney,he said my name is Shaun and said let me help you but i need to take over your computer to fix issue ,l asked him have you any form of id he said you can hang up and ring up up either this no or the 1800 number and ask for me Shaun i did not ring up bloody dodgy as !!
