ATO scam, some indian saying he was Jason O'Connor (ha ha dead giveaway), when i mentioned scam he humg up.

I too got a call from this person Jason, threatening me that I have a ATO amount due and that I have a lawsuit against me, also that I will be jailed by my local policeman with a warrant for my arrest left on my answering machine. I called Hurstville Police Station and they said it is a scam do not ring them back as they demand money from you.

I to received a call this morning from Indian guy threatening legal action from ATO.He soon hung up when I explained I actually worked at the ATO.......LOL I don't work at ATO but it got him off the line very promptly

Several other calls obviously forerunner to this - now escalated from being in debt to ATO to having the policeman visit - I'm waiting for someone to make a 'rescue' call declaring they can stop all this if I give them certain information. Persistant and very annoying SCAM

As above. Didn't answer the call and a voice message was left. Seems to be the same recorded message that everyone else has received. Message saved for investigation purposes. Let's hope something gets done :-(

Missed call from this number, called it back and it was supposedly about a warrant for my arrest due to some tax evasion with the ATO. The man who answered was rude and continued to talk over the top of me when I accused him of being part of a scam

Received a call from this number today. The Indian sounding male wanted a return call but didn't name a specific person to which he was directing the information to. Something about ta evasion and the police issuing a warrant for someones arrest.

Just called on silent number to my landline by the above mentioned Jason Oquando re imminent police arrival to pick me up for tax fraud. Was plainly fraudulent!! Number (02) 8317 3328 rings but operator message says call cannot be completed- try later.

yep, I too was scammed this morning by this number. I didn't pick up, but it went through to voice message. Again, threatening dire consequences if I didn't call them back. Tax evasion, I will be arrested by a policeman from my local police station. I am really sick of these scamming cheats.

Same as previous respondent - got a threatening call claiming to be from ATO Canberra that a Tax Evasion has been registered with CDPP against me - added must call back to 02 8517 228 - if the call is ignored there will be consequences. SCAM, SCAM SCAM...

This one claims to be from the department of public prosecutions in Canberra, fella called Jason Oqaundo, sounds filipino trying to do yank to me.
Spoke with the tax office this am and was told there are a few scams going at the moment.Bring it on Bitches!!!!!!!!!!!
