We have had 2 phone calls from this place so far this morning. Very obviously a scam. If they call, just ignore. Even though they quote phone number (02) 8310 7470 to call back on, the caller ID on my phone handset show it to be an overseas call and a private number. Same as other comments - some garble about tax avoidance, legal action being taken & a warrant issued for arrest.

I just got 2 calls today with the same thing. I rang the number they left and they said someone had made a complaint re tax fraud against me. They then ask for the number they called you on and then my tax file number. That's when i stopped and said. No i'm not giving it to you as something is not right here. Then they hung up on me.

Same as above recorded message about tax evasion and warrant for arrest, have ignored it.

2 calls in 2 days. Hopefully nobody actually falls for this.

Starting from June 30 I have received 3 tax scams from 2 different phone numbers, very annoying.

Someone says he is from the tax department and threatened us with arrest for an incorrect tax filing. No doubt he'd scare the living daylights out of some poor person who doesn't know this is a scam.
